FREE Herbal Health Talk in FERMOY – Spring Equinox: Finding Balance & Support coming out of Winter
Join Medical Herbalist & Ethnobotanist Luke Ó hErodáin for an insightful one-hour talk on preparing the body for the seasonal shift.
As the sap begins to rise in the trees, our own bodies begin to stir from winter slumber. In the herbal tradition, March is the equinox, when the light of day and dark of night are balanced. It is when the promise of summer’s abundance is confirmed for yet another cycle. What this means for our internal organs and our bodies is that we need to get into gear for the “growing season” so that we may prepare for the rest of the year. This session focuses on the organs of elimination, our primary pathways for detoxification and renewal. Learn how to gently clear the “winter stagnation” and support your vitality as we move toward the lighter months.
This is an opportunity to learn about health, herbs and to ask questions to a clinical herbalist.
What you’ll learn:
The “Sap Rising” Effect: Understanding how our metabolism changes as we transition from winter to spring.
The Liver & Lymph Connection: Why these two systems are the pillars of seasonal health and how to support them without “crashing.”
Green Medicine: An introduction to the first bitter greens and “alterative” herbs that naturally cleanse the blood and skin.
Waking Up the System: Simple body & dietary tweaks and herbal teas to reduce sluggishness and brighten your energy during this transition.
